Echoes of the Seas

“Catcher in the Seas” — a youth charity group founded by the director in 2012 — is devoted to improving the living conditions of left-behind children in an urban village in South China. Revolving around its winding journey, the documentary touches on the social and political complexity behind the issue of urban village and brings a new perspective to the idea of charity and compassion.
